Jason and the Argonauts, 1963, starring Todd Armstrong and Nancy Kovack

This holds up surprisingly well. The acting and dialogue are at the polished end of the b-movie scale, the direction is solid, and the soundtrack is just bombastic enough to be enjoyable.

What really keeps you interested, though, is Ray Harryhausen’s monsters, and much as everyone under the sun has expressed their admiration for him ten times over, it bears repeating: the guy knew what he was doing.
